Born in Azerbaijan, Nathan came to Canada in 1997 with a desire to succeed through the pursuit of opportunities hard work, perseverance and responsibility. Nathan holds Master’s degrees in Radioelectronics and Applied Mathematics. These studies strengthened my skills as an analytical thinker, a structured problem-solver, and a disciplined decision-maker – all of which are important when delving into the complex public policy issues facing the City of Toronto.
Nathan built his Canadian career in information technology and in project management. He has worked with leading global organizations including AT&T, IBM, Dell, and HP, delivering complex projects in high-performance environments. In addition, Nathan has worked as an actor.
Through his IT and project management experience, Nathan developed strong expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting—skills essential for overseeing a City of Toronto budget of $19 billion.
Starting over in a new country required resilience, determination, and adaptability – all of which he will employ if he is elected as Willowdale’s Councillor.
Over the years, Nathan have built strong relationships across many different ethnic, religious and cultural communities. He believes residents deserve leadership focused on a well-managed city with clear results.
Nathan’s journey reflects resilience, professional experience, and commitment to public service—and I am ready to bring these strengths to City Hall and the people of Ward 18 Willowdale.
